Revd. Mduduzi Mathe

Born in KwaZulu Natal - Revd Mdu has a passion for growing the pastoral function in Howick. He is married to Phumla and they have a son Eli and they also care for Mdu's brother Mhlengi. They love being a part of a small-town community

Revd. John Alexander

Spent 37 years in education as a teacher and Head at various schools in Gauteng, the Free State and KZN, before answering God’s call to enter full-time ministry. With my wife, Ann, we’ve lived in Howick since 2021 where we love serving the Lord by serving the people of the Parish of Karkloof; Ann in the hospitality ministry, and I in conducting services in the various chapels and churches in the parish, in the ministry of pastoral care, and in facilitating Bible studies.

Revd. Canon Margie Wishart

I'm the daughter of a dairy farmer. nearly failed Physical Science in matric so chose to major in chemistry at Varsity! Worked in a laboratory in Cape Town, mainly analyzing rotting anchovies, then moved to Yardley manufacturing cosmetics. Went to England to an Interdenominational bible College and have served in the Church since 1977. Deaconed in 1986 and Priested in 1993.

Revd. Lynda Wyngaard

I grew up in Howick and was baptised, attended Sunday School and was confirmed at St Luke’s. My late husband Peter and I were married here too. After many years of serving the Lord Jesus all around South Africa, we retired in 2016 and returned to Howick – so I have come full circle! It is a great joy to conduct services back in my home parish, among a church family I have come to love very much.

Having retired to Howick six years ago with my lovely wife Charmaine, I love to keep busy by popping into the Church most days to ensure everyone is happy and things are running smoothly. I oversee the property portfolio of the Churchwardens

Originally from St Michaels and All Angels, Weltevredenpark, Roodepoort. I am the current Chapel Warden for St Mark's and alternate Church Warden. Assistant braai master and barman and ready to step in and help where I can. Thoroughly enjoy fly fishing, walking and cycling.

I was born and bred in Kenya and drove down to SA in 1995. I stopped in Cape Town and having met and married my husband, I never got home! We moved to KZN in 1998. We have one daughter and I am lucky enough to have 4 super step-daughters. I am at present the Church Warden of our lovely little St Andrew’s Church in the Dargle.

I have been an Anglican all my life and started teaching Sunday school with my husband, Garry about 20 years ago. We are passionate about sharing Jesus and His love with the Sunday school children and youth and evangelizing children and young families through the Children's and Youth Ministry.

I moved to Amber Ridge from Uvongo 14 years ago after the death of my husband Bill, I have got 3 children, 5 Grand Children and 4 Great Grand Children. It is a pleasure to be a member of St Lukes Parish and it is a privilege to serve as a Layminster, and Sacristan.

Originally from Zim, my husband Paul and I have lived many years in Hilton where we raised our two children who are currently finishing varsity. I work full time and my passion for the Lord has lead me to offering my time as both Treasurer and also as a Layminister.

After 34 years in the education sector, My wife, Margaret, and I joined St Luke's 3 years ago after moving to Howick. My heart and calling is for people and I have endeavored to actively participate in all aspects of church life. St Luke's is supported by a welcoming and loving congregation and it is a privilege to serve the parish as a layminister, on Parish Council, as well as a number of other portfolios.

Retired to Amber Valley at the end of 2025 after enjoying a busy and productive life in education. It is a great blessing to live in Howick and to be part of the St Luke’s community which is so caring; what a privilege to serve on the Parish Council.

Originally from Durban, our family's move to Howick has been a great blessing. I keep busy with the upkeep of all the properties as well as assisting with the IT and sound during services.

Raised in Howick from a teen, and now a Mom myself to four blessings - I love waking up and coming to work each day. Having spent most of my life in Howick I have a deep love and appreciation for our community and seeing them cared for.
